Importance: High

Good Morning and Good News,

*The Mobil station will be pulling the two gasoline tanks at about 1:30 this afternoon! The asphalt was removed this morning and they
are now excavating around the tanks.

*The temporary treatment system went online on May 19. The seep has stopped in the ravine. As of noon yesterday, they have pumped a
total of 29,079 gallons of water from the monitoring wells. They have collected a total of 40 gallons of free product from the wells, 30
gallons from the well closest to the ravine and 10 gallons from the next closest well. Free product has not been identified in any of the
other wells.

*The more permanent, sophisticated system has arrived and is being set up this week.

**DEP met with Paxtang Borough yesterday. Both parties have agreed that based upon the reduction in odors, and the cessation of the
seep, it was time to reopen the Greenbelt. The Borough will post new signs advising people to avoid the area of the stream and under
drain dams. DEP staff will check the area on a daily basis. The Greenbelt is now reopened.

*The underflow dams will remain in place as a safeguard. Any residual petroleum product that collects behind the dams will continue to
be removed.

Unless there is additional information to share, this will be the last update email!

Good Morning,

*The consultant for the gas station has proposed a temporary cleanup plan that DEP has approved and is scheduled to be in place and
operating today. This plan allows the cleanup to begin now while the more permanent system is being installed.

*The temporary system consists of pumping the groundwater from the two monitoring wells closest to the ravine. The groundwater will
be treated, the gasoline (free product) will be removed and the treated water will be discharged into the stream.

*A generator will provide power for the pumps. This system will require 24-hour staffing.

*This pumping may stop the gasoline seep in the ravine. Since May 14 the contractors have recovered 46 gallons of product. They
continue to remove any product collecting behind the dams and change the absorbent booms as needed. Odors have subsided significantly
at the ravine and in the residential areas.

*The same consultants are confident that the majority of the permanent treatment system will be in place by May 30. The system will
have an engineered multi-stage diffuser that will separate the fuel from the water, a dedicated pump for product removal as well as a
forage facility to protect the equipment from weather and vandalism. A dedicated electrical line for the system will not be in place
immediately so the generator will run the system for a time.

Good Afternoon

*The total estimated amount of petroleum contained and removed from the tributary as a result of the seep is 4,000 gallons.
Contractors removed product from the tributary throughout the weekend and today.

*Five additional geoprobes were drilled today, three probes registered petroleum vapors. Those three probes are in line with the emptied
fuel tanks on the Mobil property. DEP and consultants determined that the proposed monitoring wells on the Weiss property were not
necessary as a result of the geoprobe results.

*Pressure tests on those tanks is confirmed for tomorrow morning.

*Contractors continue to keep the seep area covered with plastic sheeting. DEP conducted air monitoring around the seep and the
residential area throughout the weekend and today. Monitoring results have been good.

Good Afternoon

* The five monitoring wells were sampled today. There was no petroleum product found in any of the wells and little to no odor in the
water.

*We are waiting permission from the Weiss Co. to drill two more wells on their property and adjacent to the Mobil station.

*Pressure testing on the empty fuel tanks at the Mobil station was postponed. The company contracted to perform the tests had to
reschedule. DEP assisted the station owners to locate another certified tank testing company to perform the testing on Tuesday.

*Three geoprobes were completed today. The probe closest to the ravine showed product at 32 feet. The other two probes showed no
petroleum. More probes will be done on Monday.

Odors/Fumes

*As of 4:00 p.m. approximately 1,000 gallons of product was collected today. Pumping will continue until dark. Areas where pumping is
taking place will be covered with plastic to keep odors down. Pumping will continue during daylight hours throughout the weekend.

*DEP will continue to conduct air monitoring during early morning hours during the weekend.
