Construction is begining on a new section of trail to relocate the path off of Industrial Road !! Thanks to a grant awarded to the City of Harrisburg from PennDOT and DCNR, the Greenbelt will now be a safer place to be. Instead of going out on to Industrial road when exiting the Fire School at HACC, the path under construction will allow pedestrians and cyclists to bypass the roadway completely. Completion of the project is expected by the end of April   Harrisburg City Press Release

Londonderry School's Phoenix Park in South Harrisburg has binoculars for viewing the birds on the river! The school's website also has info on their Greenbelt project.

DCNR has the Greenbelt posted on the rails-to-trails list. From South Harrisburg to Cameron Parkway is our rails-to-trails segment including one RR bridge.
